Northwest Farm Credit Services is an agricultural cooperative that provides financing and related services to agricultural producers, farm-related businesses, fishermen, part-time farmers and country homeowners. The organization is part of the 80-year old Farm Credit System, a $60-billion nationwide network of lending institutions - the largest single provider of credit to American agriculture. Based in Spokane, Washington, the organization contracted DataHouse to develop its new On-line Banking Application. DataHouse developers worked remotely in Honolulu.
On-line Banking Extends Farm Credit's Services
As an integral part of the DataHouse's full-service software development team, DataHouse's TestTeam developed the test plan and test procedures for the On-line Banking Application, executed the detailed procedures, and documented the problems with their Web-enabled Incident Tracking System (ITS). With remote access to the ITS, Farm Credit was able to monitor the progress of the development and testing, and also provide input to resolve the problems that were encountered. Ultimately, DataHouse's testing service was key in helping Farm Credit launch a useful and effective service for its user base.
